Shweta Menon injured during shoot

Shweta Menon, award winning actress has got injured seriously during the shoot of her new film Penpattanam in Kozhikode.

Actually during the shooting of a communal clash scene for the Ranjith scripted VM Vinu directed film she got hacked accidentally.

Shweta was rushed to a private hospital and an emergency surgery was carried out on her right arm. As per reports the injury is serious as the cut has resulted in a nerve being severed.

Shweta had come in to this off beat film at the last minute as replacement for Bhavana, who had to leave the film as she was going to US with Dileep and co for stage shows.

The others in the cast of Penpattanam , a women oriented film are Revathi, Vishnupriya and KPAC Lalitha .
