Kites take a bigger opening than Tamil releases

Hrithik Roshan�s Kites, distributed by Reliance Big Pictures has taken a fantastic day one opening in Chennai on its release day (May 21).

The film released in seven screens and the trade buzz is that its opening is better than any of the five new Tamil films released on the same day.

It is Hrithik power at the Chennai box-office where all his films have taken a good opening. However the film is carrying mixed reports, and is likely to fall by Monday.

The multiplexes are happy as most of the tickets for the weekend have been sold out in advance.
