Actor Vadivelu to join DMK?

The ruling DMK may have another star attraction in its fold. For, days after Kushboo enrolled herself in the party, Vadivelu has said no one could stop him if he �makes a decision to become a member of the DMK�.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the Dharmamuneeswarar temple festival at Madakottai in Ramanathapuram district on Saturday, the comedian however said that he had no immediate plans to enter politics.

Pointing out that no one had pressurised him to join the DMK, he said his sole aim was to make the people of Tamil Nadu happy by doing comedy roles in films. �At the same time, no force can stop me when I decide to join the Dravidian party,� he said.

Vadivelu is facing a series of problems after his fallouts with DMDK president Vijayakanth and his one-time close associate Singamuthu. Recently, he called on Chief Minister and DMK president M Karunanidhi to get his blessings for doing a role in �Ilaignan�, which has script by the octogenarian.
